We wanted to ensure the ethics and safety measures that have made K9 Gentle Dental so successful were passed on to other like-minded individuals to create a better future for the anesthesia-free industry.

After 12 years or success, the Gentle Dental Academy is bringing you all the skills and operational secrets from K9 Gentle Dental to learn how to clean teeth with the same ethical, safe and practical standards to be able to run your own successful anesthesia-free teeth cleaning business! Along with instructing you online, you will train in-person with and learn from the pros at K9 Gentle Dental in your 2 week practicum.

In our opinion, a good candidate would be an avid animal lover at heart, someone kind and patient, and someone with an entrepreneurial spirit wouldn't hurt either! This skill takes time and patience to master so coming from a place of love will only make the learning process that much more enjoyable. The Gentle Dental Academy offers a variety of courses pertaining to anesthesia-free teeth-cleaning. Categories include: anesthesia-free teeth cleaning theory, practical teeth-cleaning skills, assistant training, business expansion, social media and marketing and much more!

At The Gentle Dental Academy, we have carefully crafted online courses that combine traditional schooling methods, such a theory, testing and assignments, and our tried-and-true practical learning tools that will be sent right to your home. You will have over 50 hours of at-home hands-on training before choosing to come to Alberta, where you will gain another 80 hours with our operating teams on site.

Once your deposit payment is finalized, we will arrange a start date for your online training program. Due to the nature of how we want to carefully and meaningfully provide this training, availability will be limited. Your start date will be dependent on how many students are currently enrolled and on the waitlist.

A CAD $1000+GST deposit is required to hold your spot in any Gentle Dental Academy course. The deposit is refundable up to 30 days after payment. After those 30 days, it is no longer refundable, and if you decide you do not want to take the course, this deposit will be forfeit. This is in place to ensure we have serious inquiries only and do not give inaccurate wait times to inquiring students. There is so much that goes into planning admissions and enrolments, which is why we have such a strict deposit refund policy.

The Gentle Dental Academy's Complete Level 1 course, complete with Practicum Level 1, is offered to the public at a price of CAD$20,000+GST. The entirety of the fee must be paid ahead of the release of the course content. Cleaning just 80 dogs at our recommended charge price will recoup the entire cost of this course!

We don't offer a practicum-only course at the moment. We genuinely believe in the need to shape how one looks at and thinks about teeth cleaning and would only provide training to someone who has learned about our theory. But if you could not make it to Alberta for your hands-on training within 12 months of completion of your Complete Level 1 course, you still would be able to come out to train hands-on. This add-on can also be purchased if a student wants to come out a second time for more hands-on training. If this course is taken beyond 12 months of completion of the Complete Level 1 course, or if a student repeats the in-person hands-on portion, the fee will be CAD$2,000+GST.

The Complete Level 1 course is our most robust course and has a lot of information to take in, and we don't want anyone rushing through it. With 12 chapters and a 2 week practicum in Alberta, we expect it to run our students anywhere between 3-6 months if they are working through it at a decent pace. Depending on your availability and schedule, it could take longer or maybe less.

Once you complete the online portion of the course, you will receive a certificate of completion stating that you have completed the 12 intensive chapters of our Complete Level 1 course. Once you come to Alberta and complete your Practicum Level 1 training, you will receive a second certificate of completion stating 80 hours of hands on work was done in person with our team. The Gentle Dental Academy offers a carefully cultivated program covering the ins and outs of the industry and how to confidently enter the anesthesia-free teeth cleaning industry on your own. All our certificates will outline the extensive training the student would have completed to gain the certificate.
